John Fling
John Fling, a long time resident of Earlewood, passed away in 2007. Many people in Columbia remember him for his acts of kindness and selflessness. Few people knew about his monetary generosity to ECCO, which he supported behind the scenes without hoopla or recognition. John always put others' needs first by helping the less fortunate. Whether you remember him as the Everyday Santa, one of the president's thousand points of light, the man who brought donuts to the neighborhood meetings or just a good neighbor, he will be missed by many.
